Why parkrun? As you may be aware, parkrun has been in Jersey for around 3 years, the equipment that they had at the outset is a little tired and could do with a little update in respect of signs, course markers and other things that enable them to put on the amazing free weekly event that so many of us have taken part in over the last 3 years.

To thank all of our Trail Monkeys for such an amazing year, we have decided to have one last little shindig before year end – we started at the beginning of 2018 and the support we have received from you guys has been amazing – so we thought “its Christmas soon, we want to do something special for our Monkeys and also maybe raise some money for a great local charity” so here we are! The Val De La Mare Victory Lap – named so because its time for all you runners who started trail running with us to come and take a victory lap because of the races and challenges you have completed this year with us!! Its been so inspiring to see you guys do the races we put on, and even more inspiring and gratifying to see the big smiles at the end of the races so thanks for making these events so special!!
Like I said the event is free, it is only open to people who have take part in at least one Trail monkey event in 2018. There are no T-Shirts, No Medals and all we ask is that you bring some cake and a small donation for Jersey parkrun. The race will be timed as always and there will be 5km and 10km options.
We hope to see you there to celebrate both the festive season and an amazing year for us at Trail Monkey and also hopefully for you guys as well!
Terms of entry
The race is only open to people who have run with us before as this is intended for our community to celebrate the great year we have had, and for us to thank the people who have supported us.
No entries will be accepted on the day, entries will be closed one week before the race (Sunday 15th December) and no entries will be accepted after this date.
Places are limited to 150 runners, entries accepted on a first come first served basis.
