Reserves

Reserves/replacements to teams can be made if a team member cannot make one of the events. The replacement runners must be from the same business (can be visiting employee). Please use one of your spare numbers. You do not need to inform race organisers. Only a maximum of 4 runners from each team can take part in each race, just due to the sheer numbers of runners participating.

Corporate Teams

During the course of the season, teams will accumulate points from each race, with the best three (lowest amount) collective points total counting towards the overall results. All results for teams will be communicated after each race, with any queries or amendments to be raised and resolved within a week of the race, after this no queries will be accepted as the race standings will need to be calculated. The final race of the series will not count to the team standings but will determine the fastest male and fastest female runners, with prizes being awarded accordingly. To qualify for the fastest male and fastest female race, runners will have to have taken part in at least 4 of the Corporate Cup team races.

The Corporate team event will be split into three categories: Mens, Ladies and Mixed with a Corporate Cup Trophy to be won in each. Teams will be made up of four people (mixed teams must include at least one runner from the opposite gender) from the same company/business. All runners part of a corporate team must be employees of the business – any doubt cast on the eligibility of runners for a team will be required to provide proof of employment for the business. This is a bit of fun so please observe the spirit of the race and don’t put us in the position of having to have a difficult conversation regarding the rules. In the event of a tie for points, we will look at the total number of points for all 5 races for each team involved in the tie to decide an outright winner. Should this be the same then the team that has had 4 runners for the most races will be declared category winner. If any unforeseen situations occur that haven’t been addressed here, the race organiser will endeavour to take the action that is the fairest and deemed most in spirit of the race. All decisions are final and by signing up to the race, runners agree to be bound by these as a condition of entry.

Gyms and Clubs Category

We also now have a Club and Gyms category which will allow any club or gym or fitness business to take part in the race. Same rules apply as above for the corporate race, however all teams taking part in this category must be mixed – i.e. there must be at least one runner in each race for the team of the opposite gender (3 males and one female or vice versa) We can expand the categories to encompass Male and Female if we receive at least 2 teams entries for each category, to make that category competitive. Please drop me an email to see what we can work out for this. If there are less than two teams for a category this will be a non competitive category with no prizes awarded.

Solo Runners

This year, we’re putting a spotlight on individual runners and trying to enourage growth in this category. Solo runners are encouraged to challenge themselves and enjoy the thrill of the race in their own unique way. The Solo event will be split into two categories: Mens and Ladies and Mixed with an award to be won at the end of the series for each category winner. During the course of the season, solo runners will accumulate points from each race, with the best three race positions for their category counting towards their final overall results. All results for individuals will be communicated after each race, and any queries must be raised and dealt with within one week of the race.

Late Entries

Entries will be accepted after the series has commenced but three separate race results are needed to take part in the race series standings, and after t shirts are ordered event t shirts will not be available for entrants. Only a maximum of 4 runners from each team can take part in each race, just due to the sheer numbers of runners participating.
